Description:
Map of southeastern North America from eastern Mexico to the Caribbean and as far north as Virginia. Cartographic elements include scales, compass rose, degrees of latitude and longitude, and names of geographical locations and bodies of water. Cartouche includes two native Americans with bows and arrows and feathered headdresses who confer with two European men, one of whom holds a pike. Behind these figures, native Americans carry burdens and are overseen by a European man.
